KILLER SMILE!!!

When he's smiling at you!

When he wants you to smile at him!

I know he's mine, but I think he has the GREATEST smile EVER!!!! I kept joking about how I was going to miss his yummy, gummy, smile once he got teeth and as of September 17th his first tooth sprouted. Luckily I was able to catch these pictures before the first tooth made an apperance. We tease that he has his All American smile and his Asian smile. Whenver he smiles he has his entire mouth open except when he's trying to get a laugh himelf he smiles so hard his eyes shut! As I thought now that he does have teeth his smile, although just as cute, is quite different. I will try to catch a quick pic of the new smile with teeth....the long lashes add to it also!

September Recap

September came and went. I'm caught up on the photos so I will now be able to start on our recent Disney trip. We had a busy September; Swiss Days, State Fair, soccer games, school started, Dominic's first tooth, birthdays, weddings, expo's.....in other words A LOT. I keep telling myself I'm going to stay on top of this blog, it just doesn't quite happen. Anyways, on with October!

DATE NIGHT AT THE FAIR

Rocco and I had another date night at the fair. I took him to his first Demolition Derby. He LOVED it (surprise), what little boy wouldn't love watching cars smash into each other. We yelled and cheered for our favorite cars and laughed a lot. We were also able to see Terry Fader, the million dollar winner from America's Got Talent, he's really good. I love spending one on one time with Rocco, he's quite a fun date!

STATE FAIR

We had a great time at the fair this year. Rocco's favorite thing to do is, "Little Hands On The Farm". This is something Vinnie sponsors, it teaches kids about life on the farm and how you work to raise animals or food for a living. We also had fun seeing all of the animals, riding the rides, and taking silly photos. We average about 4 or 5 trips to the State Fair each year! Needless to say, WE LOVE IT!

DOMINIC STARTS LITTLE GYM

At the beginning of the month of September Dominic and I started our Little Gym class. Little Gym is like a mommy and me class. Since we have been going he's now mobile. However, to get around he scoots on his bum and thrusts, it's pretty funny. He can get up on all fours but refuses to crawl. Hey, if you find something that works....go with it. His favorite time at Little Gym is at the end when they bring out the balls and them blow bubbles.

AND WE'RE OFF.....

Ok all, we're off to the happiest place on earth. The Fassio's and Carlson's are off to CALIFORNIA! It's so nice when your best friend marries your husbands best friend. Anyway, so Sorry September, won't be bloggin' about your month anytime soon! We will be flying into San Diego Wednesday to spend Thursday in Sea World, then we'll drive to Anaheim Thursday night to spend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Magic Kingdom. We'll be home next Monday. I'll catch you all up then.....

Rocco At The Beach

I thought these pictures were too cute. It's kind of hard to tell but Rocco is covered in sand. Sunscreen really helps it to stick! Rocco loves the beach, as you can see his favorite part is playing in the sand. He even let Nana B and I bury him. We also had fun playing ocean tag. We would have liked to have swam in the ocean but it was FREEZING! We can't wait to go back next month!

Grandpa Gregg and Nana B's

Our Trip to Newport Beach, Dominic's first visit to the ocean

Dominic did not like the feel of the sand

Eating the infamous frozen banana on Balboa Island

Rocco and Grandpa Gregg in his "Race Car"

Vinnie had a business meeting in Ontario, which is not far from my dad in Anaheim Hills, so the fam and I tagged along. It was a quick visit, but well worth it. We were able to take Dominic to the ocean for the first time. Unlike his brother, Dominic did not like the feel of sand. He was content to sit on the beach towel and watch the seagulls. We also were able to spend a morning on Balboa Island. We got to see our California cousins and most importantly we were able to spend time with Grandpa Gregg and Nana B. We really miss them! Rocco especially liked riding in Grandpa's race car. Grandpa even let him drive. Our "Fake Car" is the one you see in the driveway; that's what Rocco called the rental car. We had a wonderful visit. Lucky for us, we're going back in October and will get to see them again.

Date Night With Beauty & The Beast

Our Prince and Princess Crowns

Our crowns turned Super Hero Masks!

Rocco and I had a fabulous date night. We went to dinner at McDonald's (his choice of course) and then went to see a production of "Beauty and The Beast" at the Sandy Amphitheater. It was fabulous and Rocco loved it! All 2 and 1/2 hours of it! We sat on the lawn in our beach chairs and snuggled under the blanket once the sun went down. We purchased crowns, he was the prince and I was Belle, which quickly turned into superhero masks but putting them over our eyes. After the play Rocco was able to meet the cast members which he thought was REALLY COOL. His favorite was not the Beast, not Lumiere, but "Chip", Mrs. Potts son, played by a 7 yr. old little boy named Andrew. I think Rocco was bitten by the acting bug that night, he says he'd like to play Chip next year.

Go Lions!!!

How cute is the uniform!

Gettin' in on the action

How many goals Rocco scored his first game!

Rocco started soccer this season. He's #6 and plays for the Lions. If you've never watched 3-5 year olds play soccer it goes a little something like this: If one team member falls down, they all fall down. Even if they fall on the opposite end of the field, the remaining team members run to that side to fall on top of the original fallen player. Not the best defense. They also travel in a small herd. Where ever the ball is, they ALL are, unless a player has fallen they are all with him. There is also a lot of dancing and gymnastics happening out on the field as well. The games are very entertaining. It's really fun to watch him play. He had a great first game, he scored 3 goals. I'm not sure who was more excited, him or mom. They also get a 1/2 time treat and an end of the game treat, these are just as exciting as scoring goals. You hear the phrases: "When is it time for our treat", as much as you hear "Don't touch the ball with your hands" Love it!!!

What happened to August!!!

Ok all, sorry I haven't posted in a while. Where did August go? You blink and it's gone. Bye-bye summer. We had a busy month, lots of fun things happened. I posted a few of the highlights and will try to catch up and post the rest of our August adventures. I'm not going to let September slip away from me like August did. Here are a few of the highlights thus far. More to follow soon....

Rocco's First Day of School

Rocco started preschool on the 20th of August at St. Francis Xavier. His teachers name is Mrs. "Z". There's a boy in his class named Dominic, what are the chances!?! He really likes school. We went to Raging Waters after school to celebrate.

Weekend in Oakley

New cabin being built

Cowboys horses

Dominic riding Oreo

Even Vinnie got in on the action

We had a great weekend in Oakley Utah. Vinnie's Aunt and Uncle are building a new cabin up in Pine Mountain so we went to check out the progress. Vinnie's cousin Steve, whom we call "Cowboy" has his horses up there as well. It is so beautiful up there. I am truly envious. We had a great time feeding and riding the horses, riding the 4 wheelers, and taking in the fresh air. On the way home we stopped in Park City to ride the Alpine Slide and hit the Nike outlet for new school shoes. Thanks Kladis' and Cowboy for an awesome weekend.

Happy Anniversary

Vinnie and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary on August 4th. It was Mexico in the rotation as to where we would go but seeing how Dominic is attached at the hip and everyone was a little nervous about watching him for the first time overnight, we only made it as far as Park City. It was nice, we even managed to stay up until 10 which was pretty good for us seeing how we'd gone to the Arts Festival that afternoon, rode the Alpine slide (which I won on the race down), had a nice dinner, hot tubbed and sat in the sauna. It's crazy to think we've been married for 6yrs. and even crazier to think that we've been together for 12! Good times...

Date With Daddy

"Just like Daddy's"

How cute are they? Vinnie took Rocco golfing with him. Can you tell he's a little excited!

Welcome Baby Mia!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! to my friend Bridgette and her hubby Travis on the birth of their darling baby girl MIA!!! What a cutie, mind you she came 5 days after her scheduled due date. Way to hang in there Bridg- I'm glad she's here, she's beautiful!!!

Welcome Baby Harmony

Congratulations to my friend Jenica and her cute family on the birth of their new baby Harmony! This is number four, and she was born on the 4th (my wedding anniversary), it's a good day. She's pretty cute, good job Jenica.

Spaghetti O's

After dinner last night Spaghetti O's should be called Spaghetti O-No's. I might have found Dominics new favorite food. He scarfed these up and when he figured out they were gone he was not happy. It was hysterical to watch him eat them. He would grab a handful, put his head back, his eyes would glaze over, as if each bite was pure heaven. Rocco and I got a kick out of it. As you can see from the photos, the bib was no match for the Spaghetti O's. As you can see he had to go straight to the bath. His eyebrows were killin' me. FYI, it's not that easy to get the sauce out of them. Next time we're going to have to fully undress him, he's going to love it!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Rub-a-dub-dub do they really fit in the tub? They don't have much room with all of their toys. Bath time is one of our favorite times of the day (it also means that bed time is soon after). Rocco likes to decorate Dominic with the bubbles. Dominic doesn't seem to mind. It's the giggling from both of them that's my favorite.

"Smookies"

We had fun sitting by the campfire. We made "Smores" and something new to us called "Smookies". Smookies are like smores but instead of useing Grahm Crackers you use Chips Ahoy Cookies. Very tasty, I would highly recommend it.

Flaming Gorge

We had a fun time this past weekend up at Flaming Gorge. We went up with Vinnie's family and some friends who have boats and motor homes. Rocco loved boating and camping (if you can call it camping in a 38 ft. motor home with all the necessities of home) although he wasn't too hot on the life jacket. Dominic is an awesome boater, once the motor kicked on in the boat Dominic was OUT and once the motor was shut off he was wide awake again ready to play. However, Dominic wasn't appreciating the water temp.

We ate like royalty this last weekend. My poor family, we don't eat this well at home. Corby and Vinnie's cousin Brian were incredible. We had quite the spread. Breakfasts were eggs (Fassio of course) bacon, sausage, pancakes, juice. Dinner consisted of lemon pepper and garlic sauteed shrimp for appetizers, then steaks and ribs, sauteed mushrooms and onions, steamed veggies, corn on the cob, baked beans, funeral potatoes, macaroni salad, and garlic bread. This was not how I am used to eating camping. Growing up we had cold cereal and muffins for breakfast and tin foil dinners. Corby (the one in the apron) I had named the Flaming Gorge Guru. His camping cooking equipment is nicer than my kitchens. Dominic's new favorite food is corn on the cob. He had no teeth and managed to eat 3 cobs.

We beached on Saturday. The water was nice, don't listen to Dominic. Rocco caught crawdads (sp?) and got great use out of his water guns. Honey is the Larsen's dog, she is an awesome dog. She kept Dominic entertained.

The Fassio's Meet the Simpson's

If you've been to the movie theaters lately you've probably seen this display. We thought we'd have our picture taken with America's most loved animated family. For even more fun you can log onto www.simpsonsmovie.com and create your own Simpson avatar in your likeness. It's really fun to do, Rocco can even do it himself.

Bouncin' Off The Walls VS Some Dude's Playground

VS

Well, the decision has been made. The kids thought that "Some Dude's Playground" was more fun than "Bouncin' Off The Walls". From a moms perspective, BOTW was cleaner but no real place to sit if you have little ones too small to play. SDP, although not as clean, was bigger with more equipment and easier to sit and watch them play. However, as you can see from the pictures we had fun at both places and the best part is, Mom's can play too!

4th of July

I hope everyone had a great 4th and 24th of July. Dominic surprisingly loved the fireworks. Rocco's favorite is still the "Pop It's" (sorry for all the sawdust on your sidewalks and driveway Tedesco's)

Birthday Party

I had a fun birthday party with family and friends. Thank you all for all of the birthday wishes. I am so sad to see my birthday month coming to a close. Until next year.....

My Birthday on TV

The morning of my birthday some friends and I went down to the ABC 4 Studio and sat in the audience of "Good Things Utah". It was a lot of fun and they wished me a Happy Birthday on air.

Welcome Baby Brooklyn!

I just want to congratulate my friends Brian and Kerrian Halling on the adoption of their precious baby girl Brooklyn. How cute is big brother Hudson. Congrats! She is a very lucky little girl.
