The Reason for Being So Behind On My Blogging!

The reason for my blogging hiatus. At the end of this spring we started a small house addition to our home. Just a little over 2200 square feet, nothing big! ha ha. Here are a few of the beginning pictures. I will post pictures of the finished project. It feels so good to be able to call it a finished project. It was quite the production but we a thrilled with the results. So I promise to reveal pictures of the new addition in a future post.

Roll out the equiptment. The boys loved watching all of the big machines

A little frame work

A look from the inside

and from the outside

a view from the existing part of the house. this is the wall that will be knocked down to combine the addition to the existing part. the hole is where the sliding glass door to the backyard used to be.

don't mind dominic

who needs TV when you can just watch the construction guys at work.
rocco, dominic, kennedi, and hailey. what you can't see is that they have snacks and everything.

some of the original hardwood floor when the house was built in the 1880's

We uncovered 4 different types of flooring when we pulled up all the carpet. Which is now all dark hardwood floors. we had lots of little surprises throughout the construction. that's what you get with a house almost 130 years old.

NEW POSTS COMING SOON!!!!!

I am back from hiatus. I have been debating whether to try and blog our past 5 months or just start from now and work my way back. The OCD in me wants me to just pick things up where I left off and so that's what I'll be doing. So ......we'll start back at the end of May. We've been pretty busy around here so bear with me.

UP

We saw a lot of movies this summer. The best is that they are coming out in 3D. Even Dominic is loving the special effects! Here's the clan Fassio Boys and Carlson Girls!

Dominic Finally Gets His Turn

Dominic's first time golfing.

Leave It To D

The other morning Dominic told me he was going to get dresses all by himself. "ME DO IT!" is actually how he informed me. Needless to say, this is what he came up with. Spongebob wrist bands and headband was all. Aparently underwear wasn't a necessity.

She Bangs......Funny Story.....

Those of you who know me know that I am always bored with my hair and constantly change it. Well, it's not quite long enough to donate again and it's not June so I can't go blonde yet, so.....we (well my hairdresser Jaime) cut bangs. When I got home, Rocco was the first one who saw me and this is how the conversation went:

Rocco: "What did you do?!?!?!?"

Me: "Don't you like my new bangs?"

Rocco: "You need to go upstairs and take those off!"

Needless to say, he didn't like them. Nor does Vinnie. The good news is I can pull them back. We'll see what kind of hairdo the summer will bring. Do you have an opinion?
