Easter at Winder Dairy

My brother, sis-in-law, grandma, and I took my boys, my niece Clara, and nephew Owen to Winder Dairy on Saturday for a little Easter celebration at the farm. It was AWESOME!!! The kids had a FANTASTIC time. They had their faces painted, they went fishing, they did a ball toss, an egg hunt, and they had a petting zoo. The petting zoo was Dominic's favorite. They had 2 miniature horses he loved. The paramedics and firefighters were there with all their trucks and equipment and the kids were able to sit in them. We also had our picture taken with the Easter Bunny, however the boys were a little more excited about the Star Wars characters. You know nothin' says Easter like Star Wars!!!

And so the festivities begin.....

On Wednesday night we went over to Vinnie's Aunt's to dye EaSteR EgGs and have a little egg hunt. Vinnie's cousins kids are getting a little big for the hunt so they helped the little kids. Here are a few pictures of Rocco, Dominic, my niece Celeste, and my nephew Gavin. This Saturday we are headed over to Winder Dairy for another egg hunt, a petting zoo, face painting, and a balloon artist. The Easter Bunny will be making a visit as well. Also, I hope everyone is using FaSSiO EgGS for EaSteR!!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Top of the mornin' to ya, we hope you all had a happy St. Patty's Day. Rocco had a little party at school and learned all about St. Pat. Did you know we celebrate the day of his death. The reason he is a saint is because he brought Christianity to the Irish and the shamrock stands for the holy trinity. The things I learn from my 4 year old is amazing! After we picked Rocco up from school we went and saw the new movie, "Horton Hears A Who". It's a cute show and the boys enjoyed it. I told Rocco that I'd heard that leprechauns were messin' with people's dinners so, with the help of a little pre added food coloring, I asked Rocco to help stir the mac n cheese which amazingly turned green, he really couldn't believe it! He really couldn't believe it when I poured his sprite in his glass and it instantly turned green. And just when he thought for sure he was going to catch him, magically chocolate gold coins appeared on the counter for dessert. Those tricky leprechauns!

GO RAMS!

We went to the last basketball game of the season for the University of Utah who were playing against Colorado State, which happens to be Daddy's Alma mater. We have an outstanding date every year with Vinnie's Aunt and Uncle when the UofU plays CSU. Our little Fassio Fam is the only green you see in a sea of red. The highlight of the game for the boys is "SWOOP", the U's mascot. He always seems to find us and gives Rocco a bad time for wearing CSU gear instead of Red. Thanks for a wonderful time Zia and Ta Da! March Madness starts this week so everyone wish me luck, or wish Vinnie's teams luck so that we can have a happy daddy at home.

A Weekend of Warmth!!!

Dominic chillin' by the pool

This is what happens after you spend 5 hours at the pool!

We had a fabulous time in Las Vegas this past weekend. We drove down on Thursday and stopped in St. George to have lunch with Vinnie's aunt and uncle. We got to Vegas just in time to check into our condo and grab a quick bite before heading to bed. My mom and her best friend flew in the next morning. We spent the day at Caesar's Palace and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory (seeing how you can't get into the one here in Utah). That night Vinnie stayed with the boys and us girls were off to the Barry Manilow concert! LOVE Barry! Saturday was wonderful, it was 79 degrees and we spent a good 5 hours at the pool. The boys were in heaven. They only came out of the water to grab a drink or go to the bathroom. I'm going to have to be extra careful this summer having a pool in our backyard. Dominic has no fear and will try to jump off the side whether someones there to catch him or not. Anywho, that night we took Rocco out on the town and left Dominic with Grandma. Sunday morning we got up at 4:30 to get Grandma and Jill to the airport just in time for us to remember daylight savings and their flight had already left so, they jumped airlines and made it home. The boys and I then packed up and headed back to Utah. We CAN'T wait for summer to get here!

Rocco in Vegas

Rocco loves the Rainforest Cafe at the MGM

Rocco's #1 Vegas hot spot is Nike Town, #2 is the Adidas Store on the strip

Rocco ordered a foot long hot dog, they weren't kiddin'

Dick's Last Resort

Dick's Last Resort is a new restaurant at the Excalibur. Their concept is to be rude, loud, and obnoxious where you can throw your napkins on the floor. They take your order on part of your place mat and then rip it off. When they do bring your food, they toss it on the table and walk away. It really is fun despite what it sounds like. Vinnie and I took Rocco out one night by himself and this is where we ate. It's a lot of fun, our waiter made cute hats for the boys and Rocco thought it was great that Mommy and Daddy had to wear bibs and not him. Outside the restaurant Rocco posed for a picture with THE KING!

The Copacabana Bar

For my moms 60th birthday we gave her a trip to Las Vegas and show tickets to see Barry Manilow. Well, last Saturday night my mom, her best friend Jill, and I went and saw Barry Manilow. We had a fabulous time. We wore our feather boas, waved our glow sticks, and sang along to all of his songs. Barry puts on the best show EVER!!! Needless to say, we had a Barry, Barry, Barry good time!!!

PBR = Professional Bull Riding

This past weekend we went to see the professional bull riding at the E Center. My boys love to watch 3 things on TV: Sports, Dirty Jobs, and Professional Bull Riding. So, when we saw that the PBR was coming to town we had to go. The boys loved it! Well, they loved the first 2 hours, it didn't start until 8 (already 1/2 hour past Dominic's bed time) so around 10 the boys were super tired but not ready to leave until it was over. Rocco even has a couple toy bull figures of professional bulls and his favorite, "The Freak" was there. His other favorites are Buger Butt Moon Shine, and Lightning Strikes which he calls Lightning Stripes. Yee Haw!!!
